Mica joined the SILC team as a Youth Program Coordinator in January of 2024. He began his career in disability advocacy in 2014 after attending the Arizona Youth Leadership Forum. Since then, Mica has worked to implement youth leadership initiatives and expand peer-based services in Arizona and Alaska. He has over 10 years of experience with youth programs, event coordination, curriculum development, and public speaking; having been a participant, staff and board member at different points.
After graduating college with a BS in Information Systems, Mica worked in software development just long enough to discover a love for advocacy. He now brings his methodical approach and technical skills to bear to improve the systems around him. Mica believes that tomorrow will be shaped by our youth and that tomorrow’s youth will be shaped by the systems & communities of today. In his personal time, he is an avid martial artist, card game enthusiast, and lover of stories.
