Please join the Statewide Independent Living Council at the Alaska Statewide Summit on Aging, October 15-17th at Turnagain Social Club in Anchorage. We are excited to provide in-person and distance learning at this year’s event. The theme of the Summit is: Systems Transformation for a Stronger Future in Aging.
The Summit brings together aging and disability services professionals, healthcare providers, tribal organizations, policymakers, researchers, caregivers, advocates, and community leaders from across Alaska to explore innovative approaches to supporting healthy aging and improving the lives of people living with disabilities, older adults and family caregivers. The Summit will directly inform the next State Plan for Senior Services, and involves a host of community partners including the Alaska Commission on Aging, Special Olympics Alaska, Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Alaska Long Term Care Ombudsman Office, ANTHC Rural Elder Services, Alaska Training Cooperative, and AARP Alaska.
Note: We have combined forces with the Aging and Disability Summit traditionally held at Special Olympics to bring you this Summit on Aging.
